6/29/2023 0 Comments The Wandering Inn by Pirateaba![]() So I try to stick with Erin, or events around her (and Rags when I get stuff about her). I started this series with Erin and the "No killing Goblins" theme. This arc so much more is revealed, and I was happy to see a character I appreciate take the spotlight and become more developed.Īs usual, Andrea Parsneau killed it. She's smart and funny and shes a good friend to Erin, but that was the surface level. I've liked Selys as a character for a while. She's been a reoccurring background character, and I felt that she is at times the straight man to Erin's insanity. In the goblin story arc, Pyrite shined as a complex character with a unique mix of simplicity and genius. I love the people and character dynamics of his village, and I love seeing his trials and victories. ![]() It came out of nowhere and yet fit so well.Įmperor's storyline started good and became amazing. Mrsha's storyline was surprisingly sweet and endearing while also having fear-inducing moments. Great storylines from Mrsha, Emperor, Goblins, and Selys. She does a good job of handling the psychological side of kidnapping and submission but keeps the female character strong and you want to root for her as she falls in love with her captor. Roberts does a good job of giving the reader a glimpse of this lifestyle but I did find some of it a little off-putting. ![]() Being that this is a very concerning subject matter in todays times, I was curious and a little concerned about how the story would be handled. The story of both books centers on Livy a young American who is captured by Caleb to be trained and sold as a sex slave for revenge. It essentially starts at almost the end then guides you between then and now which can be difficult to keep up with when listening vs reading. My one complaint while listening to this book was that is jumps back and forth between the past and present to tell the story. This book is the continuation of the story that begins with Captive In the Dark and is written very differently. ![]() 6/29/2023 0 Comments Rivers of london series![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() See-Saw COO Simon Gillis brokered the deal for See-Saw and Pure Fiction with Unnecessary Logo’s Berlyne and Northrop. “As a longstanding fan it is a huge honour to be partnering with Ben to bring his unique blend of contemporary urban fantasy and gripping detective stories to the screen.”Īaronovitch said: “It’s always a joy and privilege to be working with such talented people and I’m confident that together we can produce some ridiculously brilliant television.” “Anybody that loves British fantasy knows the name PC Peter Grant and the world of ‘Rivers of London,’ where gods and goddesses walk amongst us on the city streets,” said Winchester.
